Congratulations! You may have just finished the project charter, opportunity statement and WBS. Given that you know what has to be done, as the Project Manager, you are now willing to begin organizing your project. Immediately, you will have two deliverables to complete for the task. * Applying MS Project, create a job schedule and align resources – thirty five points * Analyze job schedule & resource share – 2 essay questions – forty five points Make sure you provide those two deliverables (MS Project file, and MS Word document) to the Week 3 Drop Box. Task Schedule Guidelines
This steps should be follwed when ever setting up the Huntsville Plant Project with Microsoft Project 2010:
1 . Set the basic project information
* Open up MS Job 2010.
5. Click on the File button (top left), select " conserve as" and enter the record name while (your name) cp1. By way of example: SmithJanecp1. mpp * Click the " Project" tab and select " Task Information". In the Project Details dialogue box, set the beginning date to 4/18/2011. 5. Leave additional dates as. Click on " OK".
2 . Arranged basic Gantt chart format (use as well for checking Gantt graph view) 5. Right click around the mouse inside the gray part of the Gantt chart on the Right side in the screen where the dates in month and days are for the menu and choose " Timescale. " � * In the Timescale dialogue box:
* Select the Middle Tier tab set Units to Quarters * Select the Bottom Tier tab set Devices to Several weeks
2. Click on " OK".
3. Set up the arrears task units to weeks
* Click the File tab, and then simply click Options.
* In the Project Alternatives dialog package, click Plan.
* Under Organizing options in this project, set the following: * New jobs created select Auto Scheduled
* Period is enetered in select Weeks...
